Data system an important stride towards modern policing: President Alvi

QUETTA: President Dr. Arif Alvi has described Balochistan police’s data and communication system as an important stride towards modern policing. The President, Governor Balochistan, Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha, Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan, Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove visited Balochistan police’s command and communication system on Wednesday.

The Inspector-General of Police Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir Rai thoroughly briefed the President about the police data system. “Police collecting the crimes and criminals’ data through the newly installed system in the province”, the police chief mentioned.

The data and records of all police stations are available through this integrated system, the IGP informed the President.

Modern era demands a modern mechanismĀ 

Appreciating the efforts of Balochistan police, President Dr. Arif Alvi said the modern era demands a modern mechanism to improve policing. He said Balochistan policemen have sacrificed their lives for the country and nation.

Dr. Alvi also underlined the need for intra-provincial coordination among police to cope with crimes and criminals. He said better coordination among provinces can help decrease the crimes ratio in the country. Dr. Alvi appreciated the Balochistan police for its professionalism and commitment to ensuring peace in the province.
