CS Balochistan directs companies to provide bulletproof vehicles to Chinese nationals

Chief Secretary Balochistan, Mathar Niaz Rana has directed the private companies to provide bullet-proof vehicles to Chinese nationals in the province. The CS chaired a high-level meeting on Tuesday that thoroughly reviewed security arrangements in all districts.
Various private companies are providing security to Chinese companies in Balochistan.
CS’s directives about enhancing the security of Chinese nationals have come six days after 12 people including 9 Chinese engineers killed in the Dasu area of Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa in an ‘attack’.
The Balochistan government has also canceled eid holidays of law enforcement agencies officers/ personnel to maintain the law and order situation. Mr. Rana directed the law enforcement agencies to keep a vigilant eye on suspected people in the province.
Chinese nationals have been working on various projects in Gwadar, Lasbella, Chaghi, and other parts of Balochistan. The government has already tightened its security.
All commissioners, deputy commissioners and Balochistan police chief participated in the meeting, which reviewed the while security plan. The CS directed the law enforcement agencies to maintain better coordination to ensure peace.
He said protection of life and property was the responsibility of the government. The provincial government has already placed police, levies and all law enforcement agencies on high alert on the eve of Eid ul Azha.
