Balochistan opposition lawmakers to offer collective arrests today

QUETTA: Opposition lawmakers in Balochistan Assembly would offer collective arrests at Bijli road police station today (Monday). “We would go to the police station to offer collective arrests today”, Malik Sikandar Advocate, the Opposition leader in Balochistan Assembly said.

This decision on the part of joint opposition has come in the aftermath of the registration of the First Information Report (FIR) against opposition legislators the other day. The provincial government accused the opposition members of violating the sanctity of the assembly and committing violent acts during the budget session. The charge vehemently denied by the opposition lawmakers.

Treasury, opposition members criticize speaker BA 

“Since the government has nominated us in the FIR, therefore, we have made this decision”, the opposition leader mentioned. Both the opposition and treasury benches have criticized speaker Balochistan Assembly Qudoos Bizenjo for what they assert not performing his constitutional duty on the eve of the budget session.
