60 to 70 percent of cases are against government: Justice Jamal Mandokhail

Chief Justice Balochistan High Court (BHC), Mr. Justice Jamal Mandokhail has said 60 to 70 percent of cases in the province were against the government currently. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony regarding the establishment of the Zhob judicial complex, he questioned that why the lawmakers are not implementing their own legislation.

“They pass laws and then violate the same”, he said. Especially, the Chief Justice pointed out complaints about the recruitment process in government departments are common. “There are so many complaints that this and that minister is recruiting his own people”, Justice Mandokhail mentioned.

“When judiciary takes notice, then, they say we are interfering”, CJ BHC said 

He noted that whenever “we take notice of such irregularities then they say that we are interfering”.

CJ BHC said the judicial officers provide justice to the masses without fear and favor. “These buildings and staff should be for the benefit of the common man”, he added. He reiterated that no compromise would be made on merit. “Zero tolerance for corruption”, he warned.

He said action would be taken against a judicial officer if found guilty.

Other judges of BHC were also present

Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, Justice Hashim Khan Kakar, Justice Muhammad Ejaz Swati, Justice Zaheer uddin Kakar, Justice Abdullah Baloch, Justice Nazeer Ahmed Lagove, Justice Rozi Khan Bareech, Justice Abdul Abdul Hameed Baloch and others were also present on the occasion.
