PIA resumes flights operations to Zhob after 3 years

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) resumed its flight operations to Zhob after a period of three years. On Tuesday, a PIA flight PK 528 carrying 36 passengers from Karachi landed at Zhob airport.
Balochistan Livestock Minister, Mitha Khan Kakar inaugurated the resumption of flights to Zhob located near the Pak-Afghan border. “This was the longstanding demand of people of Zhob”, Mr. Kakar told the participants of the inaugural ceremony.
General Manager PIA Bilal and other high-ups were also present on the occasion.
Passengers can now travel to Zhob via PIA
The passengers can now travel to Balochistan’s district of Zhob via Pakistan International Airlines. Earlier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) resumed its flight services between Lahore and Islamabad.
PIA will operate two flights from Karachi to Zhob on Tuesday and Friday every week. The government has also announced concession in tickets for the passengers belonging to Zhob.
“Our government believes in practical work”, Mitha Khan Kakar stated.
PIA had suspended its operations in 2018 to Zhob
PIA had suspended its operations in 2018 to Zhob for unknown reasons. Balochistan Livestock Minister, Mr. Kakar had held a series of meetings with high ups in Islamabad to make sure resumption of PIA flight operations to the area.
