Quetta: Martyred lawyers judges photo gallery inaugurated

Chief Justice Balochistan High Court (BHC), Mr. Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail on Monday inaugurated martyred lawyers and judges photo gallery in Quetta Kachery. Photos of martyred judges, Justice Khuda Bakhsh Marri, Abdul Wahid Durrani displayed in the gallery.

Photos of martyred lawyers of the tragic incident of August 8, 2016, including lawyers leader Baz Muhammad Kakar advocate, Sangat Jamaldini advocate, Qahir Shah advocate, Bilal Kasi advocate, barrister Adnan Kasi advocate, Dawood Kasi advocate also displayed in the gallery.

“These photos remind us of our fallen colleagues”, Justice Mandokhail said while pointing towards the gallery. A large number of members of the legal fraternity and judges participated in the inaugural function.

Top judge of the province also announced zero tolerance against corruption and corrupt practices. “Judiciary will not tolerate corruption”, Justice Jamal Mandokhail mentioned. He however asked the members of legal fraternity to make sure proper study of every case before appearing before the bench.

“Never appear before the court without proper study of the case”, he said.

“Take benifit of information technology”, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afgan 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Justice Naeem Akhtar Afgan urged lawyers and judges to take benifit of the information technology. There is a dire need to bring the court judgements and proceedings to zero documentation, he said. “In China, there is zero documentation of cases”, he revealed.

“Photo gallery, lawyers facility established through common man’s money”, Justice Malakhail 

Mr. Justice Kamran Malakhail in his speech shed light on the sacrifices rendered by lawyers and judges for upholding the banner of justice in the country. “This all facility established through tax deducted from a sweeper and a security man”, he mentioned.

“Common man pays us in the form of tax and deduction from salary”, Justice Malakhail noted.

Justice Malakhail made tireless efforts in the establishment of photo gallery of slain lawyers and judges.

Lawyers leaders Munir Kakar advocate, Qasim Gajezai, Iqbal Kasi advocate, Syed Basit Shah advocate and others also spoke on the occaison. All the speakers paid rich tribute to martyred lawyers and judges during the function.
