Quetta: All 4 accused confess killing of Sher Ali Hazara

All 4 accused confessed to the killing of a 10-year old boy, Sher Ali Hazara kidnapped from the Hazara town area of Quetta. Levies had found the burnt dead body of the minor boy in the Saranan area of Pishin district.

“All 4 accused confessed killing of the minor boy”, Muhammad Azhar Akram, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police Quetta said. Soon after the incident, police personnel arrested all four accused involved in the brutal murder of Sher Ali Hazara.

Court hands over all accused to police on remand

Quetta police produced all four accused before the Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) on Thursday morning. The court handed over the accused to police on remand for 15 days, Imran Khilji, a police official said.

The accused had kidnapped the minor boy and were demanding ransom from the family members. When the family refused, the kidnappers brutally murdered the minor boy, police said.

Main accused Baqir first kidnapped the minor 

The key accused identified as Baqir first kidnapped the boy and then handed it over to the other three accused. Police conducted a raid and picked up all four accused.

“The family informed us late”, Muhammad Azhar Akram stated. Had they informed the police on time the tragedy would have been averted, he added.

In Balochistan, violent acts against children have increased recently. In view of increasing acts of child abuse and kidnapping, the Balochistan Police Chief Muhammad Rai Tahir has introduced “Zainab Alert” a new app to ensure timely recovery of missing children and bring an end to child abuse.

Chief Justice Balochistan High Court (BHC), Mr. Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail had also taken notice of increasing child abuse in the province. The CJ BHC had directed all commissioners to submit reports in this regard.
