ZHOB: Armed men opened fire and killed a male and female in the Badinzai area of Balochistan’s Zhob district. Levies sources said armed men opened fire on a vehicle and killed a male and female on the spot.

“This seems to be an act of honor killing”, Fazal Shah Mandokhail, a levies official told Quetta Voice. No arrest made in the aftermath of the attack, Mr. Mandokhail said. The attackers managed to escape unhurt from the spot. Levies personnel reached the spot as investigation into the incident went underway.

Dead bodies shifted to district headquarters hospital Zhob 

Levies shifted the dead bodies to district headquarters hospital Zhob for postmortem. Levies revealed the woman had married and was going to Zhob with the man when attacked.

Levies force detained the driver of the vehicle for interrogation. “We are investigating the driver”, he mentioned.

Violence against women on a constant rise in Balochistan

Violence against women has increased in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan recently. “Honor killings” have claimed scores of precious human lives in various parts of Balochistan.

Incidents of ‘honor killings’ are on a constant rise in the Naseerabad and Jaffarabad districts of Balochistan. Human rights groups have expressed a concerned voice over increasing acts of ‘honor killings’ in Balochistan.
