Balochistan Assembly fails to debate quality of education due to lack of quorum

The Balochistan Assembly failed to debate the declining quality of education due to the lack of quorum on Friday evening. The session of the assembly resumed here with deputy speaker Sardar Babar Musakhail in the chair.
The house discussed the issue of unannounced and prolonged load shedding. However, when the Balochistan National Party (Mengal) legislator Sanaullah Baloch started commenting on the state of education in the province, the treasury member Mobeen Khilji pointed toward lack of quorum.
Subsequently, the chair adjourned the session due to the lack of quorum.

“Neither there is quality nor quantity when it comes to the education sector”, Mr. Baloch lamented while speaking on the admissibility of his resolution. He tabled the resolution with regard to the non-implementation of earlier resolutions by the government.
Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, the Balochistan education minister stood at his seat to answer questions and debate on the state of quality of education when the chair adjourned the session.
Apart from treasury members, most of the opposition legislators were also absent during the proceedings of the house. “Where are your members when you are criticizing us”, Mobeen Khilji told Mr. Baloch.
Mr. Baloch however complained that none was interested in improving the state of education in the province.
20 hours long load shedding in rural BalochistanÂ
Asghar Tareen, a JUI (F) legislator earlier said that rural Balochistan remains deprived of power supply. “For more than 20 hours, our people are facing load shedding“, Mr. Tareen said.
He also demanded of the government to wave off loans of growers because of power outages and drought-hit like situation.
