Levies seize narcotics, arrest 4 accused in Kohlu

Levies force launched a crackdown against the drug smugglers in Balochistan’s Kohlu district. Mumtaz Khetran, the Deputy Commissioner said Levies conducted raids in various parts of the district and seized heroin and other narcotics.

During an exchange of fire, 4 drug smugglers arrested by levies, Mr. Khetran informed. He said the accused involved in drug smuggling. “Zero tolerance for the curse of narcotics”, the Deputy Commissioner said.

Levies recover motorcycle, 2 pistols 

Levies also recovered a motorcycle, 2 pistols from the possession of the accused. Levies launched an investigation into the incident.

The DC informed that Shah Gul alias Toor is the head of the gang involved in the drug smuggling. He said the gang is smuggling narcotics from Afghanistan into Pakistan. “Government has decided to eradicate the curse of narcotics from society”, Mr. Khetran said.

Thousands of victims of narcotics 

In Balochistan, thousands of youth have fallen prey to the curse of narcotics especially heroin in Quetta and other parts of the province. Political parties and members of civil society have launched a protest movement against the curse of narcotics in Balochistan.
