Accused involved in shaving beard, mustache of man arrested: Shahwani

All accused involved in torturing, shaving mustache, beard, eyebrows, and hair of a young man have been arrested in Barkhan. Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan said all four accused involved in torturing the young man Sardar Khan arrested in Barkhan district of the province.

Levies force arrested the accused from the Vetakri area of Barkhan district on Sunday morning. The accused shifted to levies station for investigation, Mr. Shahwani said.

Accused had tortured Sardar Khan in Vetakri area of Barkhan 

The accused had subjected Sardar Khan, a young man to torture and shave his mustache, beard, hair, and eyebrows a few days back in Barkhan district. The violent video went viral on social media causing public outrage against the incident.

The accused identified as Yar Muhammad, Faiz Muhammad, Hashim, and Rasheed. Case registered against the accused in connection with the torturing of a young man.

The Deputy Commissioner Barkhan, Qurban Magsi also confirmed the arrest of culprits involved in torturing Sardar Khan. Levies had also registered a robbery case against Sardar Khan, the charge vehemently denied by his brother Baloch Khan.

“Instead of providing medical treatment to my brother, Levies registered a case against him”, Baloch Khan the brother of the victim lamented.

However, Liaquat Shahwani said the government had promised to bring the culprits to book. “We have arrested all the accused in the case”, Mr. Shahwani said.

Journalist Anwar Jan Khetran 

In Barkhan, armed men had killed Anwar Jan Khetran, a citizen journalist a few months back. Police claimed to have arrested the culprits involved in Anwar Jan’s murder. The journalist’s murder had sparked protests across Balochistan with people demanding the arrest of the culprits.
