CS Balochistan dismays over delay in development schemes

Chief Secretary Balochistan, Captain (R) Fazeel Asghar has dismayed over the delay in completion of development schemes in Quetta. The CS paid a surprise visit to various ongoing development schemes in Quetta on Saturday afternoon.

The CS issued notices to Commissioner Quetta division and the project director for the delay in the completion of the development projects.

CS visits airport road, wahdat colony

Captain (R) Fazeel Asghar visited Quetta’s airport road, Wahdat colony, and other parts of the city. The CS reviewed the pace of development projects in the provincial capital. The deputy commissioner Quetta and other high ups accompanied the top civilian officer of the province during his visit.

“Ensure timely completion of development projects”, Mr. Asghar directed the officials. He said the government has decided to take effective steps for the beautification of Quetta city and address the issues of the masses. “No compromise on the quality of schemes”, he clarified.

Visit comes after BHC remarks 

The CS’s visit has come after a division bench of the Balochistan High Court (BHC) passed harsh remarks against the latter the other day. The bench directed the provincial government to abide by the orders of the court with regard to various development projects currently underway in Quetta city.

Quetta city facing multiple issues 

Quetta city has been facing the issue of traffic jams, poor cleanliness, continued violation of building code, scarcity of water, and law order situation. The BHC division bench had expressed displeasure over the performance of the top civilian officer of the province.

The Balochistan government has allocated substantial funds to bring Quetta city at par with other provincial capitals of the country. Various development schemes launched in Quetta to address the issues faced by the citizens currently.
