LORALAI: Chief of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Maulana Fazal ur Rehman on Wednesday said masses of Balochistan have rejected what he called ‘selected’ rulers.

The anti-government alliance held a mammoth public meeting in Loralai as part of its ongoing anti-government movement. Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) Chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai, ANP Balochistan President, Asghar Khan Achakzai, Sardar Yaqoob Nasar of PML N, Ali Madad Jattak of PPP, Malik Wali Kakar BNP (M), Senator Kabir Muhammad Shahi of National Party and others also addressed the public meeting.

“This crowd proves that masses of Balochistan have rejected the selected rulers”, the PDM Chief asserted. He said masses mandate stolen and people deprived of their right to vote. He lashed out at the present government for the prevailing economic crisis and poor relations with neighboring countries.

He said rulers were doing experiments on the country to get their personal interests achieved. Maulana Fazal ur Rehman however warned that the PDM would not allow anyone to turn Pakistan into an American colony. “We will resist such moves”, he said.

Component parties of alliance committed to uphold the banner of democracy

PKMAP Chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai reiterated that component parties of the anti-government alliance committed to upholding the banner of democracy and constitution in the country.

He said it was not the job of the military to run the country rather elected representatives had the constitutional mandate to do so. “Maulana has come out for a new Pakistan and we support him”, Achakzai said. He said the PDM was striving for a democratic Pakistan where all foreign and internal policies should be framed by elected representatives of the masses.
