Imran Khan urges Hazara community to bury slain miners

News Desk :

Prime Minister, Imran Khan has urged the Hazara community to bury the slain miners and promised to visit Quetta soon to offer fateha for the departed souls. The premier took to social media network Twitter and requested the ethnic Shia Hazara community to bury the dead bodies and end the protest.

PM’s Tweet has come after the members of the enraged community refused to bury their dead bodies. Their protest entered the fourth day on Wednesday despite chilly weather in the western outskirts of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.

Police said armed accused kidnapped and killed 11 coal miners in the wee hours of Sunday. The incident happened in Balochistan’s Mach area. The tragedy prompted the members of Hazara community to stage a sit-in in the outskirts of Quetta to mount pressure.

“Our neighbor is instigating sectarian violence”, the Premier said in his tweet without naming India that is financing terrorist activities on Pakistani soil.

The PM stated that he will visit Quetta after the burial of slain coal miners. He said he had already visited Quetta and met with members of the Hazara community with regard to sectarian terrorism.

The ethnic Hazara community has however so far refused to bury the slain miners and announced to continue the protest till the arrival of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
