Bostan EZ: Chairman CPEC be contacted about plots allotments: CS Balochistan

The Chief Secretary Balochistan, Captain (R) Fazeel Asghar on Wednesday said the Chairman CPEC would be approached about the allotments of plots in the Bostan Economic Zone and other areas. He said the business community would be supported by the government to open new vistas of development and prosperity in the province. The CS visited the Balochistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI) on Wednesday.

BCCI office-bearers Abdullah Achakzai and Haji Akhtar Kakar thoroughly briefed the top civilian officer of the province about issues faced by the business community in Quetta and the two borders with neighboring countries.

Balochistan Board of Investment being opened in Quetta

He informed that the office of Balochistan board of investment was being opened on airport road Quetta to facilitate investors and businessmen to attract investment in the province. He said Balochistan had immense potential to promote the economy of the country. Chief Secretary has assured the business community that the government would resolve their issues at Pak-Iran and Afghan borders on a priority basis.

The CS assured the members of the business community that taxation, law and order, and other issues concerning the two borders would be resolved on a priority basis to boost trade with neighbors. He said members of the business community would be taken on board while boosting trade with neighboring countries.

BCCI has 12,000 registered members 

The office-bearers of the BCCI informed that currently, the BCCI had 12,000 registered members playing a crucial role in the economic development of the country and province. They however expressed serious concern over the killing of trader Muhammad Ismail Kakar and the minor boy Umeed Khan and demanded the arrest of killers in both cases.

The CS assured that the concerned quarters would be approached with regard to these killings and the perpetrators would be brought to book soon.
