Murder of Umeed Khan in Quetta widely condemned

People have strongly condemned the cold-blooded murder of 12-year old Umeed Khan. The innocent minor boy received bullet injuries in a firing incident on Archer road area of Quetta.

Umeed Khan was the only son of a broken father who belongs to Chaman, Pakistan’s bordering city with Afghanistan. The minor was carrying bread from a Tandoor (bread-shop) when killed in a firing incident.

Two other people sustained injuries as a result of the firing incident. Police said two people detained in connection with the murder of the minor boy. “Elements behind the incident would be arrested”, Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan said.

Mr. Shahwani spoke to the father and uncle of the minor boy killed in a firing incident the other day. “Justice would prevail”, the Spokesman added. The Balochistan government had taken notice of the brutal murder of the minor boy. However, the reason behind the tragic incident still shrouds in mystery.

People belonging to various walks of life have been mourning the brutal killing of Umeed Khan on social media networks for the last two days. They have demanded of the government to apprehend the culprits involved in the incident.

The incident happened in the heart of Quetta. People have strongly criticized the police for what they call their failure to arrest the culprits timely. The incident has sparked a hot debate on social media questioning the ability of police.
