Custom recovers 5,000 injections from a passenger at Quetta Airport

Custom Intelligence Balochistan has recovered 5,000 injections from a passenger at Quetta Airport on Friday. The passenger was coming from South Africa via Dubai, Sami ul Haq, the Director Customs Intelligence said. The worth of injections seized by customs is estimated at Rs. 15m. “Major medicine smuggling bid has been foiled”, Sami ul Haq said. Customs also arrested the passenger at Quetta Airpot and registered a case against him. The accused identified as Rana Muhammad Asif by custom officials.

Customs foil major smuggling bid near Kuchlak 

Customs also foiled a major smuggling bid in the Kuchlak area of Quetta district. Spokesman Customs said smuggled tea, clothes, tires, and other goods recovered during the operation. The smugglers were trying to smuggle goods to various parts of the country when customs acted on tip-off thus foiling the bid.

The worth of the smuggled goods seized by customs estimated at Rs. 80m.

The Spokesman stated that the operation conducted on the directives of collector customs preventive Balochistan, Irfan Javed. The frontier corps and the local administration also extended support to customs during the raid.
