BPSC Three New Members Appointed

Education Desk:

The Balochistan government appointed three new members of the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) on a contract basis for five years. The Service and General Administration Department (S&GAD) issued three separate notifications in this regard on Friday.

The new members include Abdul Salam Baloch, Mrs. Muddassar Israr, and Dr. Fazal Dad Kakar. The BPSC was facing a lack of members for last more than a year. Lack of members also caused delays in tests and interviews of candidates appearing in various competitive examinations in the BPSC.

The government had earlier appointed the former diplomat Abdul Salik Khan as the Chairman of the BPSC. Mr. Khan had represented Pakistan in various countries as a seasoned diplomat.

With the appointment of three new members, the number of BPSC members reached six. Two seats of BPSC members are still lying vacant. Currently, the process of tests and interviews of over 1,000 posts of male and female doctors is underway in the BPSC. Similarly, the process of tests and interviews for senior science teachers (SSTs) in the education department and other officers in different departments is also underway.
