A terrorist with Rs.1m head bounty arrested in Quetta

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a terrorist carrying head-money of Rs.1m during an operation in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province. In an intelligence-based operation, the CTD arrested the terrorist identified as Yaseen alias Baba in Quetta.

The Spokesman CTD said investigation proved the terrorist’s involvement in Alamdar road, Hazar town, and Sabzi Mandi bombings. The terrorist has confessed his involvement in suicide attacks and a series of bomb explosions, the CTD spokesman revealed.

Interrogation from the terrorist underway  

Senior CTD officials investigating the terrorist about his involvement in a series of terrorist activities in Quetta. During the raid, the CTD personnel recovered a pistol from his possession. “A case has been registered against the terrorist”, he mentioned. Security forces had killed a key commander who had close links with the arrested terrorist during 2015.

Quetta has seen the worst type of terror attacks 

Quetta city has seen the worst kinds of sectarian terrorist attacks during the last more than a decade. The terror attacks have claimed scores of precious human lives. Deadliest twin suicide bombings on January 10, 2013 claimed more than 100 precious human lives in Alamdar road area of Quetta city. Terrorist activities in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan have reduced following intelligence-based operations. During 2013, terror attacks in Quetta were almost order of the day.

Security forces step up operations in Balochistan

Security forces have intensified operations against the banned militant outfits in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan. Levies force foiled a major bid of terrorism in Balochistan’s Kohlu the other day. Levies said the miscreants had dumped weapons to carry out terrorist activities in various parts of Balochistan. Security has been tightened in Quetta and all sensitive districts of the province to maintain the order.
