Balochistan educational institutions report 572 cases of COVID19

The educational institutions in Balochistan have reported 572 cases of the COVID19 since September 15th. The health department has conducted 7,211 tests of coronavirus in various government-run schools, colleges, and universities, Waseem Baig, the Spokesman Corona Cell Balochistan said in a statement.

Most of the tests conducted in Quetta, the provincial capital. On Monday, the Cell confirmed 88 cases of the deadly virus in educational institutions, Mr. Baig informed. The Balochistan government had launched the reopening of the educational institutions in phases from September 15th this year.

Over dozen schools closed after reports of COVID19

However, over a dozen government-run schools closed in Quetta, Zhob, and Gwadar after reports of the deadly virus. “The government has decided to shut down every educational institution reporting two cases of coronavirus”, Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan said.

The health department government of Balochistan has confirmed 15,420 cases of COVID19 since the outbreak of the pandemic in March this year. The government has announced to establish coronavirus laboratories in Turbat, Khuzdar, and Loralai to reach out to the maximum number of people. The government intends to improve testing capacity, Shahwani said.

Most of the patients recovered 

The virus has caused 146 deaths, Mr. Baig said. He said 14,814 patients have recovered from the deadly virus so far. Most of the patients recovered at their homes while battling the virus in isolation in their homes. The mortality rate in Balochistan is less as compared to other parts of the country. “Mortality rate is less here in Balochistan”, Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan said.

The provincial government has warned of a second wave of coronavirus cases. The government has declared wearing masks necessary for entrance in government offices in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan.
