Balochistan educational institutions report 406 cases of COVID19

QUETTA: Balochistan educational institutions have reported 406 cases of the COVID19 since September 15. The health department conducted over 4,237 tests in schools, colleges, and universities of the province, Waseem Baig, the Spokesman corona cell said in a statement.
The provincial government had decided to conduct tests in all government-run schools, colleges, and universities. The laboratory has declared 3,831 tests as negative in educational institutions, Mr. Baig said. The Balochistan government had closed over a dozen schools and colleges in the aftermath of reports of coronavirus cases.
“We will close every educational institution if it reported more than two cases”, Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan said. The government has also formed three-member committees on the district level to ensure implementation of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Balochistan has confirmed 14,838 cases of the coronavirus so far. Most of the cases reported from Quetta, the provincial capital. “We want to improve the testing capacity”, Shahwani said. The government has also decided to establish laboratories at the divisional level to reach the maximum number of patients.
The health department sources said 13,455 patients have recovered from the novel coronavirus in Balochistan. Most of the patients recovered from the virus at their homes in isolation.

The health department has conducted more than 93,000 tests of the COVID19 in Balochistan since the outbreak of the pandemic. Most of the tests conducted in Quetta and neighboring districts.
Waseem Baig, the Spokesman corona cell however informed that the virus has caused 145 deaths in the province. He mentioned that most of the aged people have become victims of the deadly virus in the province.
“Recovery ratio is high in Balochistan as compared to other provinces”, Mr. Baig told daily Quetta Voice. The number of patients continues to increase in the province recently as compared to the past.  Â
