Child Murder: Maid surrenders before police in Quetta

A maid accused of killing a minor child surrendered before police on Monday in Quetta. A four-year-old minor child brutally murdered in Quetta’s Samungli Road Lehri Gate area. Police and family members accused the maid of killing the innocent kid. However, the Maid surrendered before police in presence of other relatives. She denied involvement in the murder.

“The child was drowned in a washing machine”,  Chaudhary Asghar Mehmood, the Station House Officer (SHO) Jinnah Town tells the daily Quetta Voice. He said a police investigation team comprising senior officers formed to probe into the cold-blooded murder of an innocent kid. In a very brutal way, the minor kid was murdered, he mentioned.

Maid surrenders

Police produced the accused maid before judicial magistrate Quetta. The judicial magistrate, Ihtiram ul Haq handed over the accused to police on a five-day judicial remand. Amid tight security, the accused was shifted to Jinnah town police station.

A four-year-old child Saad Shah found dead on Saturday (September 12) inside his residence in the Lehri Gate area of the city. Family members of Shah nominated the Maid in the murder of the kid in the First Information Report (FIR). The Maid was working in this house for last more than seven months. The parents of the minor kid have been suffering from dumb agony since the tragic incident, sources close to them told the daily Quetta Voice. They want justice and the fair police investigation to punish the culprit involved in the murder, they said.

However, family members of the Maid claimed the maternal uncle of the kid was also present during the killing of the minor kid inside the house. “We are going to review all aspects in interrogation”, the SHO Mr. Mehmood stated.
