Police recovered kidnapped minor girl in Quetta

In a successful raid, Police on Tuesday recovered a minor girl kidnapped from Quetta’s Railway Colony. “Police have also arrested the culprit involved in the kidnapping of innocent girl”, Razzaq Cheema, the Additional Inspector General told a hurriedly called news conference. Eight-year-old Laraib was kidnapped on August 24th.

The kidnapper is being interrogated by the investigation team.

The kidnapper is a serial criminal 

“The kidnapper is a serial criminal”, Mohsin Hassan Butt, the Balochistan Police Chief told the daily Quetta Voice. Mr. Butt stated that quick investigation ensured the recovery of the minor girl. Parents of the girl had lodged a report about the incident in the civil line police station.

Broken parents of the innocent had staged a protest demonstration outside the Quetta Press Club to mount pressure on the administration. Images of the minor girl on social media prompted Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan to take notice of the incident and order police to ensure the unhurt recovery of the minor girl.

The minor girl was produced before the journalists at the crowded press conference at the office of AIG police. Women police officers who played a crucial role in the recovery of the girl were also present during the press conference.

“The accused had kidnapped the girl while riding a bicycle”, Mr. Cheema stated. He said police personnel spent days and nights to make sure of the unhurt recovery of the innocent girl. The kidnapper was frequently coming to the street where Laraib’s residence was located.

CM Balochistan hails police action 

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has also appreciated the police raiding party for the unhurt recovery of a minor girl.  The kidnapper was also arrested by police during 2009 in a kidnapping case, Mohsin Hassan Butt mentioned. The accused was granted bail by a local court in Quetta.
