Well-known chest physician Dr. Shireen Khan, Dr. Farooq Uyghur, famous artist Habib Panezai and eminent social worker, Suleman Khan have been nominated for Tamgha e Imtiaz (Pakistan’s highest civil award).
The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Arif Alvi has pleased to confirm civil awards on renowned doctors, social worker and artists on August 14th. Ghazal Juman Khan who belongs to the social welfare department has also been nominated for the highest civilian award by the President from Balochistan, a notification issued by President House said.
Throughout the country, 148 personalities have been nominated for the highest civil award. They would be awarded Tamgha e Imtiaz by the President on March 23rd on the eve of Pakistan day in Islamabad.
Dr. Shireen Khan and Dr. Farooq Uyghur played an important role during fight against the novel coronavirus in Balochistan. Despite all risks, Dr. Khan kept treating extremely risky and serious patients at the Fatima Jinnah Chest and General Hospital Quetta. Similarly, Dr Uyghur too kept his life at peril and served the ailing humanity in Sheikh Zayed Hospital Quetta.
Quetta’s famous artist Habib Panezai’s services in the art sector have been recognized. Mr Panezai has played a key role in the promotion of arts, culture and education through dramas in various languages on TV and Radio.
Suleman Khan, an eminent social worker has been nominated for the highest award for his tireless efforts to rescue the people stranded in heavy snowfall near Muslim Bagh area of Killa Saifullah district this winter.
