Well-known economist, Dr. Kaiser Bengali has been nominated as a non statutory member for the National Finance Commission award by the Balochistan government.
This was revealed in a tweet by Balochistan’s finance minister, Mir Zahoor Buledi on Wednesday.
“NFC body has been reconstituted and renowned economist Dr. Kaiser Bengali has been nominated as a non statutory member”, Mr. Buledi mentioned in his tweet.
Mr. Buledi stated that Dr. Bengali would assist government of Balochistan, minister finance and NFC with regard to the share of the province.

Dr. Bengali has already represented Balochistan in NFC during former chief minister Dr. Malik Baloch led government in the province.
Dr. Bengali’s appointment has come almost a month after the resignation of former federal minister information, Javed Jabbar as non statutory member from Balochistan. Mr. Jabar’s appointment was challenged in the Balochistan High Court and criticised by political parties in the province.
