The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Cyber Crime Wing arrested an accused involved in blackmailing of a female in Balochistan’s Dera Murad Jamali. The accused has been brought to FIA’s office in Quetta and the case has been registered against him, according to the copy of FIR obtained by the daily Quetta Voice.

The victim is a teacher in a private school in Dera Murad Jamali.

The victim had lodged a complaint with FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing that the accused was continuously blackmailing her through her photos. Through Whatsapp, the accused had sent my photos to my brothers and other family members to malign me in the society, she said in a complaint to the FIA.

The FIA team sought permission for the arrest of the accused from a judicial magistrate in Quetta and succeeded in arresting the accused from Dera Murad Jamali, the headquarter of Naseerabad district of Balochistan. 

A case has been registered against the accused under cybercrime act at FIA Quetta. FIA had sought the support of Naseerabad police with regard to the arrest of the accused. “The accused is under FIA’s custody and is being interrogated”, as per the FIR’s copy obtained by the daily Quetta Voice.
