Mohyuddin Kakar, the brother of Wakeel Kakar, the Assistant Commissioner, Mangochar Kalat lamented that no high-level officer participated in the funeral prayer of his brother. Wakeel Kakar, who was serving as AC in Balochistan’s Kalat district died of the deadly virus the other day at Sheikh Zayed Hospital Quetta.

“Even the deputy commissioner Kalat under whose supervision my brother was working did not turn up at the funeral”, Mr. Kakar mentioned. He said the deputy commissioner Pishin also failed to meet his family members to console over his brother’s death.

Wakeel Kakar had contracted the virus while serving in Magochar and he was admitted to hospital after the deterioration of health condition.

Mr. Kakar lashed out at chief secretary Balochistan and other high ups for what he claims ignoring his brother when the latter was battling the deadly virus. For two weeks, none turned up at Sheikh Zayed Hospital to inquire about the health condition of my brother, Mr Kakar pointed out.

Mangochar is a tehsil of Kalat district of Balochistan and is the home town of the home minister, Mir Ziaullah Langove.

Late Kakar is the first high-level administrative officer who died of the novel coronavirus in Balochistan.
