The novel coronavirus cases have passed 53,000 across Pakistan on Friday evening. The virus has caused 1,083 deaths so far across the country. However, over 16,000 patients have recovered from the deadly virus.

The virus continues to spread fast in various parts of the country. Hospitals across the country have been jam-packed with patients and serious patients have been battling the virus at ventilators.

Most of the cases have been reported from Sindh and Punjab provinces. The federal government and provincial governments have decided to improve the testing capacity to make sure maximum tests of the novel coronavirus in the country.

Sindh has confirmed 19,924, Punjab 18,770, KP 7,391, Balochistan, 3,198, Islamabad, 1,326, GB 602 and AJK 158.
