Cases of novel corona seem to be on a constant rise. On Thursday, Pakistan confirmed 48,694 cases of the COVID-19. Most of the cases have been confirmed in Sindh and Punjab provinces.

According to the statistics shared by the federal government and provincial health departments, the deadly virus has caused over 1,044 deaths in the country. Over 13,000 patients have recovered from the deadly virus across the country.

Punjab has confirmed 19,924 cases, Sindh 16,685 cases, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa 6,556, Balochistan 2,820, Islamabad 1,138, GB 556 and AJK has confirmed 133 cases of the novel coronavirus.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will address an online session of the World Economic Forum (WEF) today via video link, according to Radio Pakistan.

The report added that the premier is expected to talk about his global initiative for debt relief.

Yesterday, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill had said that the premier will discuss the impact of the virus on human lives and the economy.
