The Finance department government of Balochistan has terminated three officers involved in corruption cases on Tuesday. A grade-17 officer and two other employees of finance department have been removed from service for activating the salaries of 9 illegal employees, a notification issued by the department said.

The accused had fraudulently activated the salaries of 9 fake employees in education and health departments while inflicting a financial loss of Rs. 3 million to the national exchequer, Secretary Finance Noor ul Haq Baloch told the daily Quetta Voice.

The department had already sacked two grade-17 and 18 officers of finance for their involvement in corruption cases, Mr. Baloch mentioned. With the termination of three officers, the number of sacked officers from service has reached five, he added.

The sacked officers belonged to Jhal-Magsi, Naseerabad at Dera Murad Jamali. Initially, an inquiry was ordered and show cause notices were issued to the accused to explain their position. After completion of the investigation, the officers were found guilty and removed from service.
