QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has said that the novel coronavirus will be having long-term impacts as per the World Health Organization (WHO) reports. The Chief Minister chaired a meeting of all divisional commissioners through the video link on Thursday.
Jam Kamal directed the divisional commissioners to step up efforts to halt the spread of the deadly virus and also take all possible steps to contain the dengue and malaria in their divisions. Parliamentary Secretary for health, Dr. Rubaba Buledi, Secretary Health, Dostain Jamaldini, In-Charge Command, and Operation Center, Imran Gichki also participated in the meeting.
Mr. Gichki heads the Balochistan government has established the Command and Operation Center in the aftermath of outbreak of novel coronavirus in the province.
The divisional commissioners also presented their proposals during the meeting and the prevailing situation developed in the aftermath of the Covid-19 was thoroughly discussed.
The Chief Minister underlined the need for a long-term strategy during the battle against the coronavirus. Jam Kamal directed all the commissioners to prepare all necessary projects with regard to health sector in their divisions so that they could be included in the fast-approaching provincial budget this year.
