Balochistan moving towards smart lockdown: Minister
Some being businesses being opened keeping in view of problems faced by masses, traders

QUETTA: Balochistan’s Minister for Revenue, Saleem Khosa has said that the province was moving towards smart lockdown keeping in view issues faced by masses and traders. The decision has been made by the Balochistan government following fast approaching Eid ul Fitar.
Addressing a press conference along with deputy commissioner Quetta, Mr. Khosa stated that the duration of the smart lockdown would be till Eid. Shops owners would be allowed to keep their shops open from Sehri to 5 pm in the evening, the Minister mentioned. Awami National Party (ANP) legislator, Asghar Khan Achakzai was also present on the occasion.
The shopkeepers have been directed to strictly follow the standard operating procedure and that a maximum of 4 people should be inside the shop at one time, Mr. Khosa explained. Shopping malls, shops violating the SOP would be closed by the administration, he warned.
“Our people cannot bear strict lockdown since they have been suffering financial issues”, Asghar Achakzai said.
