The Balochistan government confirmed 103 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus as the tally has risen to 1321 in the province. Spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaquat Shahwani said that 92 patients belong to Quetta, 4 district Lasbella, 3 Sibi, 2 Chaghi, 1 Noshki, 1 from Killa Abdullah districts of the province.

The virus has so far caused 21 deaths in the province. Mr. Shahwani said the number of locally transmitted cases in Balochistan was 1,170. Most of the patients have quarantined themselves at their homes. Very few patients are admitted in Sheikh Zayed Hospital Quetta for medical treatment. However, around a dozen serious patients have been admitted in Fatima Jinnah Chest and TB Hospital Quetta.

People continue to complain about getting results of tests being conducted at Fatima Jinnah hospital. Patients are informed after four or five days of tests regarding the positive or negative results, which put the lives of families at peril.

Most of the patients with fewer symptoms do not keep themselves in isolation until the confirmation of the results of the laboratory. This continues to cause outbreak of the pandemic among families, streets and towns of Balochistan.

The laboratory administration rarely calls the patients who are tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Very few people receive calls of the laboratory administration regarding the results of the tests.
