President Arif Alvi has urged the nation to follow the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the government and take precautions in order to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus. The President arrived Quetta on Wednesday to review arrangements with regard to battling the novel coronavirus.

President was received by the Governor Balochistan Justice (R), Amanullah Khan Yaseenzai and Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan. The social distance was followed by the President and Governor and CM Balochistan at the airport.

“Keep [your] distance from each other. This will lead to two things: herd immunity will develop and we will be able to tackle with this [virus] with time,” he said.

President Alvi said that efforts were on to enhance the capacity of the health department to conduct maximum tests to battle the novel coronavirus in the country.
