Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan province has been hit hard by the novel coronavirus. As per statistics by the Corona Cell directorate of health Balochistan, so far 473 cases have been confirmed in Quetta. Cases have been reported from Airport road, Almo Chowk, Sariab Road, Alamdar road, and other parts of the city. Besides Quetta, 30 cases have been confirmed in the Pishin district.

Sardar Mustafa Khan Tareen, the former Balochistan Minister who died of the novel coronavirus too belonged to district Pishin. In Balochistan, so far 12 districts have been affected by the novel coronavirus hitherto. However, the province has confirmed 721 cases of the novel coronavirus.

The virus has caused 11 deaths. Coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Jaffarabad, Chaghi, Kharan, Ziarat, Harnai, Loralai and other districts of Balochistan.
