In Balochistan, 388 cases of the novel coronavirus are locally transmitted and cases have been confirmed from 11 districts of the province. On Wednesday, 41 fresh cases of novel coronavirus were confirmed. Now the tally has reached 536 cases in the province, Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan said.
The virus has caused seven deaths including Sardar Mustafa Khan Tareen, the former Balochistan Local Bodies Minister in the province. Sardar Tareen who was tested positive on Tuesday for coronavirus died in civil hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
So far, 167 patients have recovered in Balochistan and discharged from hospital. 18 health professionals including 14 doctors and 4 paramedics have also been tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Balochistan. Family and friends describe the condition of health professionals as stable.

The Balochistan government has declared Sheikh Zayed Hospital as a specific health facility for coronavirus patients. The virus has been confirmed in nine members of a family in Balochistan’s Mastung district. However, it has been reported from almost all parts of Quetta city, Chaman, Pishin, Jaffarabad and other districts of Balochistan.
“This local spread of the virus is concerning”, Liaquat Shahwani, the Balochistan government spokesman told daily Quetta Voice.
The government has urged upon the masses to stay at home and adopt social distancing to halt the spread fo coronavirus. However, people continue to ignore calls and appeals of government in terms of social distancing and staying at homes.
