Teach only 4 to 5 children at one time: Secretary Education appeals to parents in Balochistan
Over 12,00 centers under "My Home My School" program established in Balochistan
The Secretary Secondary Education Balochistan, Ghulam Ali Baloch has made an appeal to parents in the province only to teach four or five children at one time in their homes in view of the looming threat of coronavirus.
UNICEF and Balochistan education department has provided technical assistance to parents around the province to establish over 12,00 centers under the “My Home My School” program to make sure provision of education during the closure of educational institutions.
“The distance between children should be six feet”, Mr. Baloch told daily Quetta Voice. He has also appealed to the parents to make sure the children wearing masks during studies and avoid close interaction with each other.
“Sanitizer must be used and masks should be worn by children during studies”, Mr. Baloch said during an interview with daily Quetta Voice regarding the program. The duration of a class should be short and students need to be engaged in homework so that they could learn something.
Joint parents and teachers meeting need to be held to make sure social-distancing and improving the quality of education under this program, the Secretary concluded.
