QUETTA: Opposition legislators in Balochistan Assembly have strongly criticized the provincial government for what they claim its failure to tackle the situation developed in the aftermath of the global outbreak of novel coronavirus.

Opposition leader in Balochistan Assembly, Malik Sikandar Advocate, former chief minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani, Balochistan National Party legislator, Sanaullah Baloch and others addressed a joint press conference and lashed out at provincial government regarding coronavirus policies.

“With this strategy, the virus would continue to penetrate here for the next five years”, the opposition leader Malik Sikandar Advocate lamented. He said the government had not sufficient testing kits to conduct tests of the suspected patients in Balochistan.

Up till now, Balochistan has confirmed 277 cases of a novel coronavirus in the province.

Former Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani while speaking on the occasion termed the government’s policies as flawed and failed when it comes to solution of issues.

“This government must resign”, BNP legislator, Sanaullah Baloch demanded. He said the government had lost the confidence of the masses and had no right to rule over the province.
