QUETTA: The Balochistan government has extended the lockdown for another two weeks to halt the spread of coronavirus in the province. Balochistan’s home and tribal affairs department issued a notification in this regard on Monday.

The lockdown has been extended in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan till April 21st this month, the notification said. The government has taken this step in view of possible spread of coronavirus in the province.

The Balochistan government has urged upon the masses to stay at home and avoid social contacts to halt the spread of coronavirus in the province. Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan in a statement urged upon the masses to stay at home and avoid public gatherings.

In Balochistan, so far 202 cases of novel coronavirus have been reported. The virus has caused one death so far. However, 60 patients of coronavirus have recovered in the province.
