QUETTA: Five new cases of novel coronavirus were confirmed in Quetta on Thursday evening as the tally reached 169 cases. The virus has so far caused one death in Balochistan.

According to media cell of Balochistan health directorate, the screening of 2359 people was conducted in the province. As per the laboratory results, tests of 1902 suspected patients came negative.

Balochistan government has declared Sheikh Zayed Hospital as specific treatment location for coronavirus patients in Balochistan.

All the patients have been admitted in Sheikh Zayed hospital for medical treatment and kept in isolation to provide them with better health facilities, Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan said.
