QUETTA: Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo has rejected the application of opposition members to requisite the assembly session to discuss the outbreak of coronavirus in the province.

Since 144 has been imposed in Quetta and assembly staff has been confined to their homes, therefore, it is not possible to hold the assembly session, Mr. Bizenjo responded to requisition application by members of the opposition.

Opposition leader Malik Sikandar Khan Advocate, members including Balochistan National Party (Mengal) member Sanaullah Baloch and others had requested the session of assembly to debate overall steps taken by the government to contain the coronavirus in the province.

The opposition members have strongly criticized the government for what they claim its failure to address the issue of Zaireen and coronavirus related issues carefully. The charge vehemently denied by treasury members.
