QUETTA: The first patient of novel coronavirus died in Fatima Jinnah Chest and TB hospital on Sunday. Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan confirmed that the 65 years old patient was admitted to TB hospital and died of the COVID-19.

The deceased was a diabetes patient, Mr. Shahwani mentioned. This is the first death confirmed in Balochistan. With this death case, the death toll in Pakistan rises to five in the country.

In Balochistan, the number of coronavirus cases rises to 108 on Sunday evening. After the death of one patient, now the number of positive cases of the COVID-19 remains 107.

The Balochistan government had declared an emergency to contain the novel coronavirus in the province. The government has already closed government offices and ordered a partial lockdown of Quetta city to halt the virus, which continues to penetrate the country like in other parts of the globe.
