The novel corona virus has claimed 3300 lives across the world. The virus has affected around 100000 people worldwide with most cases reported from mainland China. The World Health Organization (WHO) Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Thursday that the States need to take significant steps to contain the virus. He however stated that in some countries political committments were not matching the level of danger.

Most of the corona virus cases have been reported from China’s Wuhan province. Italy, Iran and South Korea have been hit hard by the virus, which has claimed precious human lives in the three countries. In Iran, 23 members of Iranian parliament were tested positive for the corona virus. However, the it has spread throughout South Korea affecting a specific religious group.

The corona virus has spread to 85 countries globally, the WHO has asked the countries to make coordinated efforts to cope with virus.
