Pakistan allows entry of 350 Zaireen from Iran at Taftan border

QUETTA: Pakistan has allowed 350 Shia pilgrims to enter into the country at Pak-Iran border Taftan on Friday evening. Spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaqat Shahwani in a video statement said 350 pilgrims had reached Taftan border and were being cleared by immigration office. He said thorough screening of all the pilgrims would be conducted at Pak-Iran border Taftan.
Pakistan had closed its border with Iran in the aftermath of over 20 deaths caused by the deadly corona virus in neighboring country. Spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaqat Shahwani stated that still there were 5000 pilgrims.
“We can only allow them to enter into Pakistan after screening”, Mr. Shahwani said. Pakistan has also declared in 10 districts of Balochistan province bordering with neighboring Iran and Afghanistan.
Pakistan has also established isolation centers at all bordering towns to cope with corona virus. The bordering tows are located at Iran and Afghanistan borders. So far, Pakistan has only confirmed two corona virus cases.
