ISLAMABAD: The federal government has halted train service to Iran in the aftermath of deaths caused by Corona Virus in Iran. Federal Minister for Railways, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed in a video on social media announced suspension of train service to Iran.

Pakistan has already closed its border with Iran after Corona Virus cases in Iran. Hitherto, the deadly virus has claimed 14 lives in Iran with dozens of affectees. Iran’s deputy health  minister was also tested positive for corona virus.

Pakistan railway operates from Quetta to Zahidan, an Iranian bordering city four times a month. This is goods train and supply goods from Pakistan to Iran.

“I request all traders and businessmen not to book their goods”, the federal minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed made an appeal through a video on social media.
